SolumeCore FAQ: Plans, Payments, Security and Support
Direct answers about SolumeCore products, payments, renewals, cancellations, backups, security, DDoS protection, API and support, with links to each guide.
These are the questions people ask most about SolumeCore as a whole: how to choose a product, how payments and renewals work, what happens to a server you stop paying for, how backups and security work, and where to get help. Each answer is short and links to the document that goes deeper. For one specific product, start with the guide for that product.
SolumeCore is a hosting platform with five products: VPS, VDS, web hosting with cPanel, game servers, and apps and bots, all managed from one client panel at dashboard.solumecore.com. Prices, plans, games and locations are managed by the team and change over time, so check the plans page before you buy.
Products and plans
Which product should I choose?
Choose web hosting for a website with email and WordPress, a game server for Minecraft or another supported game, apps and bots for your own code, a VPS for a whole machine with root access and a VDS when your load is constant and you want reserved cores. What is SolumeCore compares them.
What is the difference between a VPS and a VDS?
Both are KVM virtual machines with the same panel, network and firewall. A VPS shares the node's cores with configurable overselling; a VDS lives on nodes without overselling, so its cores and RAM are reserved. See VPS vs VDS.
How long until my service is ready after I pay?
Provisioning starts automatically once the payment is confirmed. The site quotes an average of under a minute for a VPS, VDS or web hosting account. A game server also runs a first install that takes a few minutes, and you can watch it in the console. See create an account and place your first order.
Where are the servers, and can I change the location later?
They run on SolumeCore's own systems in the locations published on the site, and the panel measures a live ping from your browser. The location is part of the plan, so to move you order a plan in the new location and move your data. See locations and data centers.
Can I change to a bigger plan later?
Yes, from the panel: you pay only the difference for the days left in the cycle and the change is applied to the same service, without reinstalling. Switching to a different type of product means buying that plan.
Billing and payments
Which payment methods are accepted?
Card, PayPal and account credit are on by default. Cryptocurrency is available only when SolumeCore turns it on. The pay page shows the methods that apply to your invoice. See payment methods.
Are renewals charged automatically?
Only for services set to renew with your saved card or your credit; you choose the mode per service in the Renewals tab. Otherwise you get an invoice, created 3 days before the renewal date by default, and pay it yourself. See invoice lifecycle and renewals.
What happens if I do not pay a renewal?
By default the service is suspended on the due date, which stops it without deleting it, and paying brings it back. If the invoice stays unpaid, it is cancelled 15 days after suspension, and a game server or app is deleted 5 days after that. See service suspension for non-payment and default timelines.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All payments are final and non-refundable, and unused time, credit and crypto payments are not returned. The exceptions are an order we do not accept (what was charged for it is returned), obvious billing errors, which we correct, and anything a mandatory law requires. To avoid an unwanted charge, cancel before the renewal date and confirm it shows as completed in your panel. See no refunds, chargebacks and billing errors.
Can my invoice show my company name and tax ID?
Yes. Set your legal name, address and tax ID in Billing → Invoices & payments → Billing details before you pay: a paid invoice keeps the details it had at the time. Invoices download as PDF.
Servers and the panel
Do I get root access, and can I reinstall the system?
Yes, on a VPS or VDS you get full root access, an SSH terminal in the browser and a one-click reinstall from a template. The reinstall erases the disk, so the panel asks you to confirm it first.
Can I give a friend access without my password?
Yes. Invite them from the service and choose a role or exact permissions. Game servers support subusers with roles such as Moderator, and VPS, VDS and hosting support delegated access. See game server permissions and delegated access and subusers.
How do I upload files to my server?
Use the file manager in the panel for everyday files, and SFTP with a program such as FileZilla for big worlds or modpacks. See SFTP connection details.
Does my app sleep when nobody visits it?
No. An apps and bots plan keeps your process running all the time, with no cold start. See apps and bots hosting.
Are my backups stored off-site?
Not for game servers: they are stored on the node that hosts the server, so download the ones you cannot afford to lose. VPS and VDS backups are stored apart from the server where the feature is enabled. See backups and retention.
Security and protection
Is there DDoS protection?
Yes. Traffic is filtered at the network edge, and VPS and VDS also get a firewall page with modes, rules and an attack report. It reduces the risk of an outage; it is not a guarantee of immunity. See DDoS protection and firewall.
How do I secure my account?
Turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app or a passkey, save your backup codes and review your devices and sessions now and then. See account security.
Is cryptocurrency mining allowed?
Not on shared plans such as game servers, apps and web hosting, and the Terms forbid undeclared mining that degrades other customers. If you need dedicated compute for it, ask support before ordering. See acceptable use and abuse measures.
Is there an API?
Yes. A REST API lets you list your services and control power and the firewall of VPS and VDS with an API key authorized for your IP addresses. Webhooks, integrations and an AI API also exist. See the API overview.
Support and status
How do I contact support?
Open a ticket from Tickets in the client panel, and tick the automatic diagnostic so support sees the state of your service. The help center has short how-to guides.
Is the 99.9% uptime guaranteed?
No. It is a target the team works toward, not a guarantee or an SLA. The Terms do not promise a percentage unless it is agreed in writing for a plan. See service status and incidents.
How do I know if there is a problem on SolumeCore's side?
Check the public status page or Support → Service status in the panel, and turn on the free email alerts there.

FAQ
Can I delete my account?
If self-service deletion is enabled for you, Account → Profile → Delete account starts a grace period of 14 days by default. Otherwise open a ticket. Active services and unpaid invoices must be settled first. See account security.
Where can I see the limits of my plan?
In the panel itself: the Backups tab shows "X of Y", and the Your plan card on hosting shows live usage. See limits and quotas by product.
What if a feature in a guide is missing in my panel?
Some features are optional and the team switches them on per product, location or plan. If you do not see it, it is not enabled for your service. See platform capabilities overview.
