How to Link Discord or Google to Your SolumeCore Account
Link your Discord or Google account to log in to SolumeCore with one click, or unlink it any time. Steps, requirements and what to do if something fails.
To link Discord or Google, open Profile & security, go to the Security tab, find the Ways to sign in card and click Link next to the provider. You confirm it is you, authorize SolumeCore on Discord or Google, and come back to the panel with the account linked. From then on you can use Continue with Discord or Continue with Google on the login page.
Before you start
- You need an account on the provider and its email must be verified there. If it isn't, sign-in fails with "Your account has no verified email" and you need to verify it with the provider first.
- A Discord or Google account can be linked to one SolumeCore account only. If it's already used by another one, the panel says so.
- A provider only appears as available if SolumeCore has enabled it. Otherwise the card shows Not available.
Link an account
- Log in at dashboard.solumecore.com.
- In the menu, under Account, open Profile & security and select the Security tab.
- In the Ways to sign in card, find Discord or Google and click Link.
- In the window Link Discord (or Google), click Continue to Discord. Before that, confirm it is you with your password, a 2FA code, your passkey or an email code. This protects you from someone adding a back door to your account.
- You go to the provider. Log in there if needed and authorize the connection.
- You return to your account and see a message that the provider is now linked. The row shows Linked.
We send you a security notice by email every time a provider is linked or unlinked. If it wasn't you, reset your password and review your devices.
Log in with a linked account
- On the login page, click Continue with Discord or Continue with Google.
- Authorize if the provider asks.
- You enter the panel. If your account has two-step verification, you still have to complete that step.
You can also create a SolumeCore account this way. If the email of your Discord or Google account already belongs to a SolumeCore account, signing in links it to that account instead of creating a duplicate.
Unlink an account
- In Ways to sign in, click Unlink next to the provider.
- Confirm it is you and accept the dialog Unlink Discord?.
- You can no longer log in with that provider, and you can link it again later.
You can't unlink your only way to log in. If Discord is the only method you have, the card reads "It's your only way to sign in: add another before unlinking it". Create a password first with Create password, or link the other provider, then try again. See how to change your account email or password.
Keep at least two ways to log in, for instance a password plus Discord or Google, so a lost provider account never locks you out. Adding two-step verification protects all of them, see how to turn on two-factor authentication.
Troubleshooting
"That account is already linked to another SolumeCore user"
The Discord or Google account you chose belongs to a different SolumeCore account. Log in to that account and unlink it there, or use another provider account.
"The link expired. Please try again"
The authorization took too long. Click Link again and finish the process in one go.
"You cancelled the linking"
You closed the provider's page or denied access. Start again and accept the permissions.
"That sign-in method isn't enabled" or the provider shows Not available
SolumeCore has this option switched off at the moment. Use your password or another method, or try later.
"Your account has no verified email"
Verify the email in your Discord or Google settings, then repeat the process.
FAQ
Does linking Discord give SolumeCore access to my servers or messages?
No. We only ask for your basic profile and email, and it is only a way to prove who you are when you log in. It is also separate from the Discord bot integration, which is configured on its own.
Will unlinking Discord or Google delete my SolumeCore account?
No. Your account, services and data stay exactly as they are. You just can't use that provider to log in anymore.
Can I link two Discord accounts?
Each SolumeCore account links one Discord and one Google account. To change which one, unlink the current account and link the other.
Do I need a password if I log in with Google?
Not necessarily, but it's a good idea. A password gives you a second way in and is required for SFTP to your game servers.
